The site is now listed among the National Register of Historic Places and is a registered California Historical Landmark. The exhibit commemorates the 80th anniversary of Carrillo's purchase of the first 845 acres of Rancho de Los Quiotes, aka Ranch of the Spanish Daggers, named after the cactus that grew there.
